Gary Chambers moved to Bangkok, Thailand in June 2006. Over a varied career in sales, marketing, the charitable sector, local government and urban regeneration, Gary understands a wide variety of work environments and is used to working with a wide cross-section of stake holders. A true believer of enterprise in the widest sense of the word, Gary believes in delivering a speedy, sustainable and significant return on investment through a cycle of analysis, optimisation and conversion.

Gary Chambers  established  SEO Websites Asia in 2011 as a boutique agency providing design, development and optimisation services to SME’s with high aspirations in South East Asia.

Most of his experience in marketing luxury products comes from the property, leisure and fashion industries. Both in Asia and in the UK he has obtained high conversion rates for multiple long tailed search terms ranking in top positions.

Apidsara Shaida – Head of Operations

Apidsara is head of operations for Power Digital (Pwrdigital.com).  With a Masters Degree in Agriculture and specialising in communications, Apidsara has a keen eye for visual detail and works closely with a number of the creative and technical talent who are responsible for developing and sustaining our clients’ digital projects.

Apidsara is both a Thai and British national and is based in Bangkok, Thailand.

Alvin Chng – Technical Adviser

Alvin Chng is a seasoned media executive that has over 20 years of experience in the media, ICT and publishing sectors in Asia Pacific. Alvin has been Managing Director of AC Mediacom Pte Ltd since 2009. In this position, he is responsible for media business strategy and technology consulting with a primary focus on deployment and commercialization of broadcast media and content onto new media platforms. Prior to setting up his own company, he was the Commercial Director, APAC for TripAdvisor and Regional Director for The New York Times. In both appointments, he set up their APAC operations from the ground up. He was the Vice President at Channel NewsAsia (CNA), a pan Asia24/7 news channel, and was responsible for spearheading and managing their new media and continuous news desk division. In CNA, he developed and commercialized many World and Asia first services involving mobile and Internet technology.

Other prior experiences include Director, Business Development at Ednovation, an international children education publisher; Country Manager for 13 countries across Asia at Time Life Inc., where he was responsible for the launch of over 400 new titles and the establishment of new sales channels (DM, DRTV, retailing) and partnerships. An advocate and early evangelist of media convergence, he has hands-on experience in print, internet, mobile, broadcast and social media. He is often regarded as one of the few in the industry that has an in-depth understanding of the different spectrums of media, technology and effective commercialisation of media in APAC. He is interested in media monetization and trans-media communication and storytelling. Alvin is based in Singapore and holds an M.B.A. from Golden Gate University, USA and B.E (Hons) in Engineering from University of Queensland, Australia

Daniel Rowles – Digital Marketing Expert and Adviser

Daniel has been working in Digital Marketing for the past 15 years, with extensive experience working internationally both client side and within the agency environment.

He is a Course Director for the CIM, and trains on behalf of Econsultancy and the IAB.  He was awarded Econsultancy Trainer of the Year 2012. He is a lecturer for Imperial College London (a top 10 university worldwide) and Cranfield Business School as well as being a published author.

Alexander Shaida – Digital Marketing Adviser

Alex previously worked at Econsultancy for six years until end of 2013, having worked across a broad range of clients in providing digital marketing training and consulting services in the UK, Europe, US and APAC. His role expanded in 2012 to develop Econsultancy’s growing presence in Asia as VP for the region. Alex helped to provide a mixture of training, consulting, qualifications and events services spanning north Asia (China, Japan, Korea), South East Asia and India, and more recently Australia.

Previously Alex helped an Ecommerce start up launch in the UK as their Head of Marketing for three years, and looked after Play.com’s marketing (which was his first role in digital). Prior to that he worked as a senior account director in public relations for clients including Microsoft and CSC among others, and also worked extensively for media based clients in the 1990s.

Alex combines his passion for the Internet with an ongoing fascination with the cinema and various areas of film-making (writing, directing and producing), having also been involved in producing two independent feature films(budgets USD1m and USD3.5m), and written/directed a number of shorts for competitions and festivals in the past.
